Burnaby Chinese Evangelical Free Church, a 35-year-old church with a growing congregation of about 240, has Cantonese, Mandarin, English, youth, and children’s ministries. We are seeking a Youth Ministry Pastor who has a heart for young people and a passion for helping them grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
The Youth Ministry Pastor will provide pastoral care and spiritual leadership to our youth, work closely with youth leaders and families, and help develop a Christ-centred youth ministry that encourages young people to grow in faith, serve the church, and reach out to their friends and community.
Qualifications
Applicants should have the following qualifications:
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a clear calling to pastoral and youth ministry.
- Graduate of an evangelical seminary with an M.Div. degree or equivalent theological training.
- A heart for youth and a desire to nurture their spiritual growth and discipleship.
- Able to teach the Bible faithfully and communicate effectively with young people.
- Able to develop, equip, and work collaboratively with youth leaders and volunteers.
- Able to build positive relationships with youth, parents, church leaders, and the wider congregation.
- Fluent in English; ability to communicate in Cantonese or Mandarin would be an asset but is not required.
